Who we are
The award-winning Letterkenny Lions Club is part of Lions Club International, the largest service organisation in the world.
Letterkenny Lions Club has been serving the North West region for over 30 years and has between 25 and 30 members. The members are local men and women from all walks of life, who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as in communities worldwide. Club members volunteer their time to try and improve the quality of lives of their local community through fund raising and service activity.
The club is always looking for new members.
What we do
Each year, Letterkenny Lions Club conducts many projects including:
Auction in conjunction with Highland Radio ( In 2023, €16,500 was raised!) ,
Quiz nights in Letterkenny Golf Club
Cinema Night in Century Complex
Sponsored Walk and BBQ in Glenveagh National Park
Message in a Bottle
Senior Citizens Social Evenings
Tidy Towns Clean-Ups
Christmas Food Appeal in Dunnes Stores
All the above projects have helped local and National charities including :
Donegal Food Response Network, Childhood Cancer, Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, Darkness into Light, Cara House, North West Simon Community, Donegal Women’s Domestic Violence Service,
We Care Foodbank, UNICEF, Tidy Towns
